Welcome to our group Cannabis Controversies! A space for us to connect and share with each other, free of judgment.

These controversies are simply theories, and are not stated as facts. This group will be used to share your own theories, and controversies. Other members will be able to tip in, and help with figuring out, whether there are some truths to your theory or not.

Positive vibes only! Everybody is entitled to their own opinion.

Topics:

Synthetically produced THCA from CBGA:

  • THCA Production: THCA is typically produced from CBGA via the action of the enzyme THCA synthase, which can be done in vivo using plant-based methods or in engineered systems like yeast. Purely synthetic chemical routes to THCA, without using cannabis or biosynthetic pathways, are complex and not commonly practiced due to the efficiency and feasibility of biosynthetic methods.

  • CBGA Production: CBGA can be produced biosynthetically from olivetolic acid and geranyl pyrophosphate. While it is possible to chemically synthesize CBGA from non-cannabinoid precursors, this route is complex and less common compared to biosynthetic methods involving engineered organisms or extraction from cannabis.

Hashish mixed with oil (rosin)

Look at the bubbles on the surface. This is sometimes seen in hashish, hinting at the fact it may be mixed with another resin, not related to the hashish production.

This could be either good or bad, depending on the mixed resin.

Bad: Synthetically produced cannabinoids/distillate, with poor production.

Good: Properly produced resin, such as rosin, without any solvents or contamination factors.

@Greenconstruction If you mix distillate into your hashish, you will get the same bubbly surface on your hash as this picture.

The color doesnt have to be as dark. That is just because of the type of hash being dark (distillate is usually transparent).
